Reapers of Death

Alien visitors, masters of dark rituals of death. For the last hundred years Aelion has suffered attacks from creatures from other worlds. The purposes of the invaders vary: some of them want Aelion’s resources, some are looking for a new place in the sun; some of them regard the residents as food, and some - as energy source. You can find the detailed history and descriptions of all the armies in the later version of the game.

Thanatos

Thanatos, Great God and leader of the Reapers of Death. Thanatos is the physical incarnation of death. Thanatos is also believed to have been responsible for the disappearance of Aeli. Having enslaved several worlds with his mighty armies, Thanatos now has his eyes set on Aelion. We must pray that our brave Gods, and Immortals can withstand him. For if they cannot we are all doomed a fate worse than death.

Death Ravagers

Arguably the most dangerous utility of the Reapers of Death, the Ravagers have been tamed and bred, over hundreds of years, to be machines of war. Already at an advantage due to their size and savagery, they are made all the more stronger by the Reaper masters riding them. The Reapers use these beasts as protection, raising themselves above the battle, while the Ravager takes the full brunt of the attacks. While two or three Immortals could easily defeat one Ravager, be sure to evade large groups of them, as  even some Gods have been known to fall before these ruthless beasts.

The Reapers

The loyal servants of the Great God Thanatos, the Reapers are some of the greatest foes Aelion has ever faced. The Reapers are the commanders of the Reapers of Death, answering only to Thanatos. While most Reapers choose to command their armies from afar, some have been known to lead their troops directly, fighting side by side with the Virds, and Carrions. The Reapers are also masters of the rituals of death. Some Reapers have been known to eliminate entire towns with a single incantation. If you ever encounter a Reaper on the battlefield be sure to eliminate him as quickly as possible, as even his words alone could finish you.

Carrions

Somewhat larger and much more powerful than their Vird counterparts, Carrions make up the next largest portion of the Reapers of Death. While some Carrions prefer the safety of packs most choose to rely on their own strength or skill in battle. Some Carrions become fierce slayers, able to shred even the strongest adversaries to pieces. Others choose to hone their knowledge of the rituals of death. And some even build their strength to the point where they can tear limbs from even the strongest Immortals. While most small groups of Carrions can be defeated ease, be sure not to attract to many, or they'll make a feast out of your corpse.

Virds

The smallest and weakest of the Reapers of Death, the Virds make up the main core of their armies. Deployed in large packs, they attempt to overwhelm defenders with sheer numbers. While most Virds are generally weak, and easy to kill, there are some exceptions. Virds have sometimes been known to study dark rituals, don armor and wield great axes, and even to grow almost 3 times their normal size. While most Virds you will encounter are weak, be sure not to get to comfortable as packs of them are very formidable foes.
