Community Manager | unknown date

The Skyforge team is happy to announce that the latest update, Return of the Serpent Queen, is now live and active – bringing multiple tweaks and positive changes to Aelion – though take heed, for it has also attracted the attention of our aggressive alien enemies, leaving the planet in peril once more.

If you wish to prepare yourself for what awaits you, you can read up on the full patch notes at any time and check out all the Skyforge improvements at your disposal.

Are you ready to explore the unknown and face-off against the Gorgonides in a brand-new distortion? Will you utilize the new inspection system to snoop on your fellow comrade’s equipment? Will you uphold honour and participate in the latest Pantheon Wars Season (starting soon) and take your rightful place as the most dominant Pantheon of Aelion?

Time will tell. Until then, we hope you enjoy the latest update and wish you good fortune during your next adventure!

Sooooooooooooooooo regarding the Trewang Idol. Now that we're getting new generation equipment that will have higher stats, will there be some way to sell it now that it will become subpar compared to the new artifacts?

As far as I know, Trewang is a fixed generation item that will not increase in power and there are not plans to change that as of yet.

“Old” Prestige will stay the same: it will be called “points of Prestige” which you earn to reach the next rank.

So, for example, if you had 109 million Prestige before the update, you will be Rank 127 (Prestige points: 109 000/116 000) afterwards. Which means that once the character gains 116 million points of Prestige, they will reach Rank 128. To make keeping track of your points easier, we added a new progress bar to the interface

  • Prestige is now measured in units that are easier to read. Actual values of Prestige for the new invasion will be between 140 and 150. Previous Prestige value is called “points of Prestige”. It is displayed as a progress bar next to the Prestige indicato

lol

It's called levels guys. Almost all mmos have levels. It was a fun run, but you guys really blew it up with this ever inflating, meaningless, number system called "Ascension". But hey, bought a year right?

I didnt read the rest of the patch notes, because honestly, i dont care. Just wanted to give some luls for this change. It's a shame really, i was looking forward to seeing people with 1 trillion "prestige"

It was an unsustainable system imo, people with all those millions of prestige. Damage numbers and bosses health are also difficult to read, so it's probable we'll see more changes in that department.

I hope they'll take a look at broken prestige selection in squads, I did them at max prestige selecting the minimum and as a plus, monsters weren't dropping a single credit.

Mhm. With the system they introduced, it really makes progression feel meaningless, at least, that's what it did for my gaming experience personally. Every [set amount of time/invasion] the numbers roll up, and we got to do the tail chase over again, in all the same places we were doing before. I mean, the places were cool, the first thousand times I cleared them, but after that, it started to lose my attention. A games combat system will only carry it so far..

What i find really funny about this, and after thinking about it for a minute, all they did was come up with a fancy way of displaying a leveling system.. but instead of calling it levels and an experience bar, it's ranks, progression. It's almost like they have something against having levels lol. Well guess what guys, you do have levels, skyforge has always had levels.. it was just masked under a bunch of other crap, but it's always been levels.  It's even reminiscent of the late 90s, early 2000's mmo grinders where it takes absorbent amounts of time to reach your next level x) All you guys did was reword/ layer it, but the essence is still there. idk, /shrug.

Something else I found interesting, was the little change with the pantheons and the academy displayed.

Pantheons

  • Conditions for Pantheons to be on the list of academies have been simplified. Now you only need 10 people that have logged in the game in the last 2 days.
  • Some of the free spots for academy members have been moved from Pantheon’s rank 5 to rank 4.

Why is this? Wonder what the activity threshold was before. Were no pantheons meeting the minimum activity level to be displayed as a potential home for cadets? x)

but who really cares about these ZZZZ changes buff E1 its sad

They could have fixed that by just moving the decimal place two or three to the left...  and I don't suppose mentioning that pre-ascension prestige numbers were calculated differently, and the huge prestige scores were obviously meant to make players feel better about the changes.

It like They started counting how many *millimeters* tall everyone was, rather than meters.  They could always go back to meters, but they won't, because people will gripe because they have smaller numbers.

They traded the work of constantly expanding+designing atlas for exponentially growing equipment numbers. If we round up progress to be twice (2x) of your previous self in each invasion, after 5 invasions you're approximately 32 times your initial prestige. They just took another poison which will eventually happen.

And with this, I uninstall. Thanks for the fun times, but it's time I move on...
